The fighting continued the day after the latest Republican debate with Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio sparring over immigration. We went back to fact check their claims on the topic from debate night, and took a look at how each treats his Hispanic identity differently.
More from the day after the debate, where Republicans struggled on questions of foreign policy: Jeb Bush’s team boasted to donors how he went after Donald J. Trump; Mr. Trump found a receptive audience in Arizona; more than 18 million people tuned in.
On the trail on Thursday: Mr. Cruz is in Las Vegas and St. Paul; Mr. Rubio, Ben Carson and John Kasich are in Iowa; Bernie Sanders is in Washington.
On the Democratic side: Hillary Clinton received the endorsement of the billionaire investor Warren Buffett, who wants increased taxes on the country’s highest wage earners. Mr. Sanders visited a mosque to discuss racial and religious tension in national politics.
